Christine Kern Steffen, MSN, CNM

Christine Kern Steffen, MSN, CNM, has been working with the pregnant women and infants of Dane County since 2003 in many different capacities; as a prenatal/postnatal yoga teacher, a doula, a registered nurse in labor and delivery, and now as a certified nurse midwife at Physicians for Women in Madison, Wisconsin. 

Christine received an advanced degree as a certified nurse midwife from Marquette University in 2012 and is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. In 2014, Christine partnered with Physicians for Women to start a new branch of the clinic, offering midwifery services to the women of Southern Wisconsin. In this collaborative care model, women with high-risk pregnancies will now have the option of being cared for by a midwife with the support of an obstetrician.

Christine enjoys working with women of all ages on their health goals and supporting them through labor and delivery and general medical care for the years beyond.  

Christine and her husband, Dan, enjoy time with their three sons and their pup. Christine loves spending her free time going running, practicing yoga, knitting, and cheering her boys on at their various sporting events.
