
Mary Carr Ross, Nurse Practitioner
Mary Carr Ross graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in 1980 and an MS in 1983. She returned to university and completed a post-masters program in Adult Health and Women's Health departments. She completed this work in 1994, at which time she joined Dr. Melius in his practice at 20 S. Park. Prior to completing her program of study to become a nurse practitioner, Mary had been on faculty at UW-Madison, UW-Eau Claire and Edgewood College. In addition, she has been an administrator.
Mary came into health care with the goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. She is interested in all aspects of women's health. She is able to serve the health screening, prevention and education needs of women from teens to post-menopausal ages.
Mary is certified as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses' Credentialing Center, as well as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner by the NCC. Mary has been a member of the National Honor Society Sigma Theta Tau, Beta Eta Chapter since 1981. She has served on the board of the Wisconsin Nurse's association. She is an advanced nurse prescriber and able to independently prescribe medications, order medical diagnostic procedures in connection with a licensed medical doctor and perform complete examinations. Mary is able to perform numerous office-based diagnostic procedures as well as therapeutic procedures.
Mary has two daughters and is married to Steve, a registered nurse in urgent care. She enjoys outdoor activities, athletic pursuits and relaxation pursuits including knitting and weaving.
