Mary Carr Ross, Nurse Practitioner

Mary Carr Ross graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Science in 1980 and an Master of Science in 1983. She returned to the university and completed a post-masters program in Adult Health and then the Women's Health departments in 1994, at which time she joined Dr. Melius in his practice. Mary has also been a faculty member at UW-Madison, UW-Eau Claire and Edgewood College, and has served as an administrator.

Mary came into health care with the goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. Women's health care is the central focus of Mary's practice. She is interested in all aspects of women's health. She is able to serve the health screening, prevention and educational needs of women from teens to post-menopausal ages.

Mary is certified as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, as well as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner by the NCC [National Credentialing Corporation]. Mary has been a member of the National Honor Society Sigma Theta Tau, Beta Eta Chapter since 1981. She has served on the board of the Wisconsin Nurse's Association. She is an advanced nurse prescriber and able to independently prescribe medications, order medical diagnostic procedures in conjunction with a licensed medical doctor and perform complete examinations. Mary’s Madison practice offers numerous office-based diagnostic, as well as therapeutic procedures.
