Frederic A Melius, MD, FACOG
Dr. Melius shares his partners' commitment to the highest standard of care in all areas of women's health and has been practicing obstetrics, gynecology and urogynecology in the Madison area since completing his residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 1991. During his senior year, he performed the role of Chief Resident and was the recipient of the Ben M. Peckham award for outstanding senior resident. In 1996, he served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of Wisconsin Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Melius was honored by Madison Magazine as a Top Doc Award recipient for several years.

Julie A Schurr, MD, FACOG
Another one of Madison Magazine's Top Doc Award recipients for several years, Dr. Schurr has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology (ob/gyn) since finishing her residency in 1993. Dr. Schurr joined partners Drs. Melius and Cardwell in 2001 with the vision of providing the highest standard in women's health care available utilizing state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Schurr is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists [FACOG].

Michael C Cardwell, MD, FACOG
Dr. Cardwell has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology (ob/gyn) since completing his residency in 1996 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Cardwell served as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, plus was honored to receive the TAP award for outstanding first-year resident and the Ben Peckham Award for outstanding senior resident. Dr. Cardwell has also been the recipient of Madison Magazine's Top Doc Awards for several years running and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Patricia S Kraemer, MD
Dr. Kraemer joined the Melius, Schurr & Cardwell group in February 2008 to add her expertise in internal medicine to the excellent standard of women's health care offered by the clinic. She is board certified in internal medicine and has been practicing in the Madison area since completing her training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 1988. Dr. Kraemer's practice covers all aspects of women's health from preventive care to comprehensive management of multi-system disorders.

Timothy S. Raichle, MD, FACOG
Dr. Raichle joins the Ob/Gyn family of Board-Certified Physicians at the Melius, Schurr & Cardwell, Physicians for Women Clinic in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Named Berlex Best Teaching Resident in 2001 and Chief Resident in 2003, Dr. Raichle completed his residency training at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin in 2003 and most recently, has served as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Genecology at the Fitchburg Clinic location.

Mary Carr Ross, Nurse Practitioner
Mary is interested in all aspects of women's health. Mary originally studied health care with the goal of becoming a nurse practitioner and enjoys serving the health screening, prevention and educational needs of women from teens through post-menopausal ages. Mary earned her degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison completing her Masters of Science studies in 1983. She returned to the UW for a post-masters program before joining Dr. Melius' practice in 1994.
