About Us
Melius, Schurr & Cardwell, Physicians for Women is an independent medical practice specializing in all aspects of women's health. Our group provides obstetrics and gynecology (ob/gyn) and primary care services to women of all ages. Our physicians and nurse practitioner have been providing health care to women in Madison, Dane County and the surrounding area for more than 15 years.
Melius, Schurr & Cardwell located their current partnership in the Madison suburb of Fitchburg in 2001 with a mission of providing excellent, individualized women's health care with a patient-centered focus in a friendly and confidential setting. Our new clinic facility in Fitchburg was completed in October of 2005, and offers more expansive exam and procedure rooms. Our commitment to patient education and comfort resulted in the design of a second floor loft perfect for education classes of all types.
Our practice emphasizes professional, personalized obstetrics and gynecology care and general health care for women. As board-certified physicians in obstetrics, gynecology and internal medicine, we utilize the latest research and technologies in providing you the best Madison has to offer including non-surgical techniques, minimally invasive surgery, and on-site 4-D ultrasound and phlebotomy services to evaluate your pregnancy, gynecological concern or other needs. Melius, Schurr & Cardwell does not involve residents or medical students in your health care.

Patient information is held confidential and only discussed with the individuals who need the information to perform their work. Each employee of Melius, Schurr & Cardwell signs an employee statement of confidentiality form and receives training in HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) regulations and our practices’ own privacy policies.
