Allison E Scholl, MSN, CNM

Certified Nurse Midwife & Lactation Consultant located in Madison, WI

Allison Scholl, MSN, CNM, IBCLC

Allison Scholl, MSN, CNM, IBCLC, has been working with the pregnant women and infants of Southern Wisconsin since 2009 in many different capacities; as a community health advocate, registered nurse in labor and delivery, and postpartum, and as a certified nurse midwife at Physicians for Women in Madison, Wisconsin.

Allison received an advanced degree as a certified nurse midwife from Frontier Nursing University in 2015, and she is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. Most recently, Allison has completed her certification as an international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC).

Allison enjoys working with women of all ages, has Spanish language skills, and a special interest in lactation support, global health initiatives, and medical anthropology. Allison’s journey to midwifery began when she attended her first birth in rural Guatemala in 2009. She was and continues to be captivated by the beauty and power of birth. After exploring the work of nurse-midwives in the United States, Allison decided she would pursue midwifery to be an advocate for physiologic birth and partner with women in their health care decision-making throughout their lives.

Allison lives in Monona with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, reading, crafting, and treasure hunting at auctions and flea markets.
